Our « Maison des Elèves »
At IMT Nord Europe we do everything we can to welcome engineering students in the best way possible. On both campuses, more than 1,000 accommodation units are made available to you.
The MDE, ‘Maison des Elèves’ (Student Residence) is located at the heart of the Douai campus. It is a central hub for most student activities. It offers everything you need to work, eat, relax, and organise group activities – but also to sleep, as it offers 596 rooms across three halls of residence.
The Lavoisier Residence is composed of:
- 89 shared-shower rooms of 11m²: each furnished with a bed, a mattress, a desk with chair and a stool, a washbasin, a shower shared between two rooms and shared toilets on the landing. Rent: €299/month (2023/2024 academic year) with the possibility of Social Housing Allowance (ALS).
- 144 studios of 20 m²: each furnished with a bed, a mattress, a desk with a chair, a wardrobe, and a kitchen equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a ceramic hob, and a small table with a chair. Rent: €450/month (2023/2024 academic year) with the possibility of Social Housing Allowance (ALS).
The Descartes Residence is composed of:
- 174 individual rooms of 12m²: each furnished with a bed, a mattress, a bedside table, a desk with a chair, a washbasin, a private shower and toilet, shelves, and a storage cupboard. Rent: €335/month (2023/2024 academic year) with the possibility of Social Housing Allowance (ALS).
The Condorcet Residence is composed of:
- 189 individual rooms of 10m²: each furnished with a bed, a mattress, a bedside table, a desk with a chair, a washbasin, a private shower and toilet, shelves, and a storage cupboard. Rent: €335/month (2023/2024 academic year) with the possibility of Social Housing Allowance (ALS).
For your convenience, the Maison des Elèves also provides:
- An underground car park with 150 spaces at the Lavoisier Residence and 115 spaces at the Descartes Residence (€29/month for the 2023/2024 academic year)
- Reserved spaces equipped for bikes (free)
- 3 self-service laundrettes (additional cost)
- A student bar, spaces for student organizations
- A network photocopier
The energy renovation of the Lavoisier Residence has been carried out with the support and financial backing of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
How to book ?
Accommodation is reserved after your admission to IMT Nord Europe via a dematerialized platform with nominative access. You will be able to select the type of accommodation (but not the residence) and validate the residence contract.
Important: Bedding supplies (pillow, duvet, sheets) are not provided.
Keys and cards are given upon arrival and after signing the “inventory”.
The prices for providing accommodation include all current charges (water, electricity, heating, access to the internet network).
Fees must be added to the price of accommodation; payable in one go and taken at the same time as the first rent: Annual management package (€79 for the 2023 school year) for the upkeep, repair and upkeep of common areas, administrative monitoring of the file, management of keys and cards, etc. Inventory package (€99 for the 2023 school year). The resident must pay their rent by direct debit (SEPA standard) on the 5th of the following month.
